Justice League of America #9

Justice League of America #9 was another fantastic issue. Meltzer continues to impress me with his wonderful character work on the various JLA'ers. I love the use of the Legion's glorious and long history that exists prior to the original Crisis. Meltzer and Benes are a wonderfully talented team. If you are a Legion fan, then you will certainly love this story arc. Read Full Review

This JLA/JSA crossover has the potential to be huge. It may move slowly, but it plays directly into the multiverse and directly into what is coming following Countdown. I only implore that you start this crossover from the beginning because if you jump on now, you will be completely lost. Read Full Review

So far, "The Lightning Saga" is leaning towards the side of bad stories. Despite a wonderful second part, the Justice League stories, which make up the majority of this crossover, are dragging the story down. The constant overlapping of scenes, annoying internal monologues, and out-of-character characters are detractors from what should be a fun story. Read Full Review
