I've recently picked up this series, and I haven't fallen for it yet. Hitch is helping. If they continue on depicting great characterization and inclusion, I'm all for it. If you've read my last reviews (#23, #24) they were disappointing due to bad generalizations and stereotypes, Hitch's issue is clean and cut. There is a perfect amount of violence and action, it's hard to rip your eyes away. If you're looking into starting Justice League, you can certainly start here. Read Full Review

If you've been reading Justice League for a while, this issue is worth buying for the first half. The rest of the book is quite a bit less satisfying, and the artwork suffers from too much talentin the inkwell, but if you've got the spare cash, I say pick it up. Read Full Review

Theartwork by Tom Derenick is rendered in what I consider to be DCs house-style.Its variations on the work of artists such as Dick Giordano and Jos LuisGarcia Lopez, but developed further. This whole issue feels rushed from the setting up of Metal tie-ins to a villain who was introduced and defeated in a matter of a couple pages. You can tell they are trying to make Molly seem like this dark, mysterious, badass who knows....things....but I can't take her seriously no matter how hard I try. Read Full Review

This issue finds itself in a slightly odd place as it attempts to both chronicle another epic clash between the League and their latest world-shattering foe and build the way towards an even bigger conflict to come. It's not particularly successful when it comes to the former. Read Full Review

I found this issue to be a mixed bag. The most interesting part was the conversation between Batman and Molly, and the possible Rebirth hints being dropped. But other than a shining moment for Simon, the fight against Shirak was rather forgettable. Read Full Review

Despite the usual Hitch plot holes and annoying big flashy bad guy, this book had some decent qualities. I'm happy to see some rounding of the previous Timeless story, and the red head ramblings were interesting enough to keep my engaged in hers and Batman's conversation. It's hard to get into the conspiracy theories of this book anymore since Geoff told us when and where the Watchmen plot is going to show up. Overall a decent book, but it's hard to get past all the characteristics of a Hitch book that drive us all crazy. Read Full Review

In a series that has more misses than hits, this one-shot goes in the miss category.  The villain is barely set up before being defeated and afterward I was left wondering how and why.  How was he defeated and why do I bother with this book anymore.  Everything about this issue screamed mediocrity and the fact that it's a dollar more than usual is icing on the cake.  Avoid this book and this series until DC makes the change that Justice League fans deserve.  Shout out to the Get Fresh Crew who know what this score truly means! With this issue, we're given a stark reminder as to what evil we've been dealing with for the past year: Bryan Hitch, an immortal being who can't write dialogue to save his life. I bought this after buying and enjoying the previous issue. I doubt I will bother again... the art was abysmal and the story utter gibberish.

I have not enjoyed this series at all. Hitch's writing has left a LOT to be desired.
