Comics Bulletin - Ray Tate
Dec 02, 2005Jackson Guice contrasts Mr. Ellis' larger than life treatment of the League. He creates a realistic soft look for the heroes that depart from the cartooniness we would expect to see from these heroes' aspects. After all, the only good League is the cartoon League. The League in JLA: Classified look like real people rendered by an excellent sketch artist, and Guice's own inks as well as David Baron's subdued colors take nothing away from the attentiveness to texture and crosshatching that produces realism in expression and body language.
