Comics Bulletin - Jason Cornwell
Aug 15, 2004Rags Morales is putting on exactly the visual showcase that he needed to, as this is clearly the highest profile project that he's ever worked on, as this issue allows him to show off his ability to clearly render what could've been a highly chaotic battle, as it was a battle that involved a large number of characters, but all the actions that take place are easy to follow. The big impact shots are also worth a mention, as the opening attack on the Flash sends a very powerful message that this is going to be a savage battle, and Green Arrow's final attack nicely underscores this idea. The impact of the last scene is also quite powerful as that final page is visually upsetting, without being overly graphic. Read Full Review

Aug 15, 2004Overall what Im really enjoying about IDENTITY CRISIS, other than the above-average art and writing, is the varied looks we get into these heroes lives. Personally, I dont know too much about the JLA and their wide assortment of associates and this is sort of like a history lesson and interesting story all in one. This issue isnt as good as the first, and is about on-par with the second. Nevertheless, it is still a very solid installment in this excellent summer event. Bring on issue #4! Read Full Review

The battle was interesting because Deathstroke took out the heroes using unique strategy to each one.Also, it's positive that the team consisted of less popular characters.The way which Meltzer explains how the identities remain secret is very clever and makes heroes not so innocent.
