Overall this issue of Harley Quinn brings together some A-team level storytelling and artwork. Everything fits together and the words complement the art which aids in the ability of reader to get sucked in and enjoy the ride. This was a solid set up for a new arc and, a good precursor for the arcs that will follow. I appreciated the story and, enjoyed that it had a mildly political subtext with a good, relatable, entertaining tale dominating the forefront. It was a blast to read and I look forward to not only watching this story arc play out but, discovering what other arcs are lurking in the wings waiting for their chance to have a full fledged story arc of their own. After recent events, this is the most interested I have ever been in Harley Quinn in the character's long history. This series has its haters, but I love what the creative team is doing. I'm still convinced they've got some more big emotional bombs to drop on us, and I'm more than willing to be entertained by their crazy, glowing super-villain stories until we get there! While the Deputy Mayor does one thing, and Harley Sinn does another thing, Harley Quinn does this other thing that ends up involving a favorite character from the underworld society of Strata. The issue is sort of aimless, and is probably impenetrable to new readers. But for those of us on the Harley trolley, it should read nicely enough. Read Full Review

There was basically nowhere to go but down after this issue's damn near perfect predecessor, but unfortunately this one lacks the action, style or laughs the series is known for. It took me to the end of this issue to realize, reading Harley isn't as fun anymore. This title used to be a highlight on my pull list but now I read through an issue of Harley's shenanigans and think, didn't a team up with a superhero against a mob boss and evil alien pervert already happen?
