The Third Army's assault on the jail is some of the best work Fernando Pasarin has done on this title. This has a lot to do with the fact that it's not a space battle featuring countless aliens flying around shooting green lasers everywhere. Guy is vulnerable with his back up against the wall, and Pasarin captures that desperation with some excellent close-ups, and getting up close and personal is what he's best at depicting. With a script that plays to Pasarin's strengths and a story that reveals the fruits of Tomasi's storytelling labors, Green Lantern Corps finally outshines the main Green Lantern title. The creative team on Green Lantern Corps is so consistent from month to month and it's wonderful as a reader to know that there's going to be something to look forward to every time a new issue hits the stands.  This issue is a great combination of action and personal drama with enough light humor mixed in to add a little flavor.  I'm looking forward to next week's annual to see how things wrap up before we see the Wrath of the First Lantern.   Four out of five lanterns. Artist Fernando Pasarin definitely makes this comic look expressive and human (that first splash of Guy sitting forlornly in jail is gorgeous), but Scott Hanna's inks do falter in the fight sequence. This tie-in could be worse, but could have been a lot better, too. Read Full Review

I actually really liked the way Tomasi wrote Guy this issue. He didn’t feel like a total Han Solo trope this time around. The guest appearance by Simon and B’Dg was perfectly executed

The artwork continues to be outstanding. The story takes a little step back here in my opinion, as most of the issue is Guy Gardner and company fighting the Third Army. New Green Lantern Simon Baz makes an appearance.
