Well, you certainly didn't quite see that ending coming, and the fact that it has some emotional resonance makes it even better. Better still, the feeling that this is only the tip of the iceberg where the current plot is concerned. Read Full Review

With this issue the Alpha Lanterns are no more, and while I think the script did a great job of closing this chapter on the Green Lantern Corps the pedestrian visual storytelling kept the book from being the momentous conclusion it could have been.  While no means a bad issue, it ends up being an average book.  Three out of five lanterns. The crux of this story is whether or not John is guilty of murder and what charges he must face. The power-corrupted Alphas sentenced him to death, but even though they were thwarted, that doesn't let John off the hook. The evidence against him is still out there, plain as day. The Alpha's and Green Lanterns are the same color, and this causes a lot of confusion in the panels. But on the bright side, the issue ends with a funeral scene, which was very good. There is only one problem that remains, what happens to Stewart? The Alphas had sentenced him to death, just because they died, that doesn't mean that he is off the hook. We'd probably get to know what happens, in the issues to come. But the writer hasn't given us any clue to his plans for John Stewart. Read Full Review
