With as many crappy books out on the stands, I suppose it might be a little harsh to criticize a book for being only a few steps above mediocre, but I have no problem using that argument against Green Arrow/Black Canary. Kreisberg has shown some serious flashes of brilliance in the early stages of this run, and I'm fine with calling him out on the carpet for not putting all the pieces together into a greater whole. This is about as mediocre a book as you can find. If you have extra money this is a nice book to pick up. It is entertaining yet nothing noteworthy. Until DC or Kreisberg find a definitive direction for the character it may never be anything more than a decent read. Read Full Review
