Future State: Catwoman #2 is one of the best entries in the Future State collection by taking the best of comics storytelling and pushing it far enough into the future to feel fresh without sacrificing what makes the heroes (and villains) familiar. Ram V wrote Catwoman before Future State and will write it after, which means he doesn't have much to set up here. That works to his advantage, as he can just use this tie-in to tell a tight, thrilling story paired with the excellent art of Otto Schmidt. Read Full Review

Future State: Catwoman #2 signals Ram V as one of the best writers at DC right now. V's scripts are purposeful, exciting, and even a little romantic when they need to be. It doesn't hurt to have Otto Schmidt on art duties either as he turns in expressive and dynamic work on a consistent basis. Even with only two issues, V and Schmidt turn in a fully fledged story, with twists and turns, that doesn't let itself get bogged down in pages of exposition due to the changes that came with "Future State". Future State: Catwoman#2 is a satisfying conclusion, albeit if you've read the Batman books the ending is a bit spoiled. That said, there's a colorful collection of characters, good fight scenes, and an important look at Batman and Catwoman's romance. This has all the attitude of La Femme Nikitaand the smokey romance of a Bond flick. Read Full Review

Theyve been thrusting contemporary characters into dark futures for decades. This particular vision of Catwoman isnt terribly interesting. Its kind of fun when its not distracted by Selinas boyfriend, but it lacks enough vision to make much of an impression beyond the basic premise. Its fun, but the need to tell a compelling action story shouldnt override the need to add something to the legend of a character who has been around for the better part of a century. This issue was great, well almost anything Ram put out there is turn out to be great. A better version of Selina after bruce Death is shown than King, Ram's Selina wants to continue Bruce's Legacy and want to be a hero like him (while tom king turn Selina into a murderer after bruce's death) this issue has a lot of great moment and Action Sequence Ram give every character a moment to shine whether its onomatopoeia, Cheshire cat, strays or Talia or Batman and Art were just on next level and some of the better BatCat moment I have seen in quite a long time.

The continuation from the previous issue is well-done. Loved the idea of Bruce and Selina reuniting and Talia aiding in Bruce's escape. This title reminded me of Future's End oneshots, which were really interesting.

A satisfying ending offering phenomenal art once more. Onomatopoeia added some nice comic-relief all throughout this pretty grim-looking Issue, while never feeling out of place. This Issue ties up some loose ends and establishes where Dark Detective takes place in the framework of FS. It seems as if the Future State timeline DC published isn't quite accurate, which most readers already guessed. The characters are handled well, their actions flow seamlessly together. That's how I have felt in general when reading this mini-arc. It's seamless, both the art and the writing, but that doesn't make it boring, in the contrary.

The first issue did fantastic job setting up the tone, main plot and a final twist. This one offers more emotion, and while of course there's a lot of action sequences here, they're not what I found the most, or even more entertaining about it. It's the main characters' personal struggles, hopes and fears, that drive this comic and make it something truly special. Ram V did it again, scoring 2/3 successes among his Future State stories, which at first glance may not seem like a big deal, until you see how strong both Catwoman and Swamp Thing are. These are both some of the true gems that came out of this event.

I'm not a fan of Ram V at all but this was one of the best Future State titles. I would rate it even higher if Schimdt's art wouldn't be so mediocre.

I liked this issue. Who would've guessed that Catwoman of all things would resonate with me? But this is a fun comic and I am actually interested in seeing what Ram V does next with the title.

An enjoyable issue. Don't have too much to say about it other then that I'm happy that Selina gets more focus here then #1 and its good art. I also like the books ending, which I feel is a very fitting and satisfying.
