The Speed Force storm started a whole new era of The Flash, a well-needed one at that, and seeing Meenah getting tied into the core of it is going to lead to some really fun conclusions. But this story has just started, and while it may take a break into Flash War for a while, we're going to see Raijin reek some powerful havoc sooner rather than later. Read Full Review

Flash #35 doesnt go far to justify the existence of yet another anti-Flash speedster villain, even if Meena does add some ethnic and gender diversity to this particular pool. This comic does improve on the previous issues slow pace and reserved tone with some energy and fun. I can recommend this comic, and you should check it out if you have a love of the Fastest Man Alive or are interested in getting to know the character more after the Justice League film. Flash #35 was one of the better issues from this creative team. Nothing seems rushed and everyone was on top of it. Characterization was convincing, dialogue reflects that and the plot moved at a fast pace where action and character were perfectly balanced. Include some high quality artwork that ups the impact of a well-written script and you have one of the best issues of Flash in a while. This week's issue was fine. It had some good moments between characters, but the story sometimes feels rushed at times. Meena's arc feels rushed, but I'm still holding out for some improvement soon as I really like the character. Kristen's purpose as a side character hasn't shown yet, but I'm digging what the writer has been doing thus far. I just hope she doesn't turn into another one of Flash's romantic interests. The Flash continues being a book that is good enough for me to continue with, but not great enough to recommend.  Joshua Williamson keeps giving readers a darker tone that may excite some, but not this guy.  I want Flash to be fun! Read Full Review

Black Hole Rising has been a pretty good arc. It's not at the levels of the best of this run, but there won't be a huge case of buyer's remorse, especially with Williamson and Moreci tacking on an interesting cliffhanger. Read Full Review

DC really hasn't been doing this series any favors lately with its oddball structure and publishing strategy. The recent "Bats Out of Hell" crossover interrupted the flow of this Black Hole storyline. Even worse, there's no discernible reason why this short, current arc, "Black Hole Rising," couldn't have been compressed down to one issue. Read Full Review

Pop Mhan displays a lot of energy in his work and somehow makes the pages look big. His speedsters dont pop in the same frame multiple times like Francis Manapul. Yet the characters still look like they are moving so this is good. I find some of his faces a bit distracting and the jagged layout is inventive but does not really improve the storytelling and the narrative. Read Full Review

The story in this issue is unfortunate on several levels, with one of the more interesting female characters introduced into this series in the Rebirth era randomly rushed into villainy for the sake of pure drama. Read Full Review

Not too sure about Meena so suddenly becoming a villain. Also, another villain that probably is a speedster? I don't know. The story is still decent, but it's nothing too special.
