Overall, this is pretty top notch stuff from the Flash team. I feel like we're back on track with this one after the last two disappointing issues. I'm very intrigued to see how the mystery unfolds, as it brings in a new villain for Barry to face. Read Full Review

THE FLASH #29 isn't the most exciting issue, but it has its engaging moments when it focuses on how Barry Allen's new powers take a toll on his life, work and wellbeing. The art was almost as good as the story. Mixing Pop Mhan and Christian Duce does not work though. Their styles are too different and clashed. I prefer Duces pages. His faces are stronger and his figures better shaped. Mhan was gave the few Negative Flash illustration a lot of energy but hes not as great when it comes to illustrating police procedurals! While this issue doesn't give us any answers as to Barry's new powers, the biggest problem is we get little to no Flash.  We do get a lot of subpar dialogue and the continuation of a very uninteresting CSI case.  The art is good, but this issue is just a bore. Read Full Review

Dont get the hate with this new chapter in Barry's life, I find this story refreshing. Not heavy on action but the person behind the problem at Barry's work and the obstacles his new powers bring provides a dynamic and compelling story.

This was more of a Barry Allen story than a Flash one, though the story was still moving forward. The only problem with this is that I absolutely do not really care about the villains or some of the background characters so the story doesn't seem so engaging.

Enjoyed the conclusion to the fight with Shrapnel and Barry's struggle with his new powers. However, the last half of the issue drags a bit in storytelling and the art flip flops between artists. A solid issue, but could have been better.
