The Flash #35 is a really good issue.  Everything that Venditti and Jensen have done has lead to this and it doesn't disappoint.  If this issue doesn't make you a Flash fan, there is no hope for you. Read Full Review

The battle between Flash and Future Flash is definitely action packed and interesting to follow. Unfortunately, the logic behind Future Flash's plans is hard to piece together considering that there was a much more sensible solution in front of him the whole time. Read Full Review

Ultimately, Wally West fans are going to want to take a look at The Flash #35, which brings the character back in costume and back to the fold with aplomb. While his appearance is short, it's also very sweet, and Vendetti and Jensen manage to create a satisfying ending to this time-traveling arc. With some unique cliffhangers that promise some very interesting new adventures for both Barrys, this comic is worth the read. Read Full Review

This issue is a long time coming, with the final battle between Barry and Future Flash (at least for now) being full of good explanations for Future Flash's motivations, and the conclusion to the issue sets up a lot of potential for the next few issues too. The artwork remains excellent, despite some cluttered panels as Booth and Dalhouse get a little over-excited with the lightning bolts, and once again Flash makes itself recommended reading. Superhero comics – particularly those produced within the last several years – are inherently derivative. That is not a criticism, but a fact. Writers and artists draw from and are influenced by past story arcs as they develop the latest chapters in the serialized medium, especially at DC and Marvel. When successful, these creative teams are able to put a fresh (or at least seemingly fresh) spin on an old concept. Unfortunately, this is not the case for The Flash #35. Most of the story elements come across as tired recyclings of previously seen concepts and contradictory character portrayals. Read Full Review

I still think Buccellato and Manapul are better story-tellers with more involved plots and gorgeous art but Jensen, Venditti, and Rapmund are giving us a lot of fun which is something that DC comics needs more of. If you read the Future's End one shot last month, you'll expect a third speedster to make a guest appearance and the fight sequence with the 3 Flashes made for good action. I don't know what they're going to do with the Future Flash character and even though he looks cool, he hardly seems necessary, since the Reverse Flash character is already the evil twin counterpart that Future Flash has been portrayed as so far. This issue is a lot of flash but little substance (sorry for the pun). I will be back for issue 36 though. I mean wh o doesn't want to see Flash fight dinosaurs in Jurassic Park land? more
