There are some truly harrowing moments here, and artist Dustin Nyugen has a lot of fun setting the dark atmosphere in each of Hush's modern day scenes with some strong use of shadows and lighting. He also does a great job with the last page reveal of the previously alluded to famous Batman villain. In general, this Detective Comics arc definitely seems to be going someplace interesting, even if it's nowhere near RIP. (Again, probably a good thing). Read Full Review

We all know this is just going to lead to a confrontation with Hush and I'd rather it happened sooner than later. The Hush background stuff is becoming ridiculous and the more time I spend with this unlovable loser, the more I want to see him disposed of. The only time he was a good character was before his true identity was revealed. From there, it's been downhill. Please, kill him off and let Batman rest (or retire) in peace. Read Full Review

While I really liked this issue, it's not perfect by any means and there's the obvious misdirection with the whole nonBatman RIP tiein that should justify a knock down from Must Read on principle. I think the next issue is still required to judge whether this will be a must read story or to see if the wheels fall off the wagon. Read Full Review
