When asylum-bound former horror star Basil Karlo reads of an International Horror Film Exposition on the luxury ship Varania III, he is enraged at not having been invited. Killing his nurse, he escapes and makes his way to the ship. Clayface, one of Karlo's most famous horror movie creations, attempts to kill some party guests and fights Batman.
