Jul 26, 2015Overall, the writing good, but it plays second fiddle to the strong, detailed artwork capturing the essence of the title. Read Full Review

Jul 23, 2015Deathstroke #8 isn't a bad comic, but it's disappointing that it didn't live up to its big potential. Read Full Review

Jul 25, 2015I am still looking forward to the God Killer story, I just want it to get started. This issue looks great, but the story stalls until the very last page. However, it was a kick ass page! I hope that next issue finally lets the story catch up to the awesome art in this book because when and if that happens, we will have something special on our hands. This issue isn't that kind of special. Read Full Review

Jul 26, 2015Deathstroke #8 was effective as a crossover in that it brought me up to speed as a new reader and I applaud the fact that I did not feel ‘walked into the middle of a movie' syndrome, even though I had clearly joined a story in progress. On the other hand, the art was very distracting to me and pulled me out of the story on several occasions. I can chalk some of this up to personal preference, but I think some of it was due to actual technical issues with the art. The bottom line was that I won't be back for the continuation of the story in the $4.99 Deathstroke Annual #1, but if I see that issue in a $1 bin one day, I'll be curious enough to pick it up.
