The beautiful art by the legendary Neal Adams is a treat. The story while seemingly disjointed reflects an earlier style that is still enjoyable if only slightly troubling at points. Some intense spectral battles and a devastating beatdown on the grounds of a circus gives way to a meeting of some of the DCU's most famous folks from the afterlife. The emotion is keyed really high in this comic, which might turn some people off. But if you can stand the dizzying effect of these high-flying feelings, then you might find this trapeze act to your liking. Read Full Review

Wow. I didnt expect this issue to be so action-packed, but it really was. I think any fan of Deadman will want to see exactly how he would exact revenge on his killer. And, you get to see that very thing happen in this issue. Theres also a lot more information that you can gather from the dimension Deadman exists in from this issue to. Phantom Stranger has always been a mysterious character to me, so I was happy to see him make an appearance. I am interested to see what happens in issue 3 now with an ending like that. More so than anything else, the current Deadman series is disappointing. We had gotten off to a shaky, but alright start, but now the story just isn't working. The artwork is solid, but it's not enough to redeem the run. Read Full Review

Modern printing technology has provided Adams the means to create mood and atmosphere much more easily, tools he uses to a great degree. I wouldn't say he over-uses them, but he's clearly having fun. It is my hope he does not fall into the same trap George Lucas did when he discovered digital graphics. Read Full Review

The Cover is great once again, make sure you open it and hold it to the light. Excited to see what he does for the next issue. As for the story... its Wacky, silly, goofy, a funny lighthearted comic in an age of tryhards, it's strangely growing on me.
