All-Out War has finally gotten into tactics and warfare and delivered some good looking offensive. The plan is simple and sweet and the artwork remains decent. The biggest flaws come in the form of dialogue, and bland interchangeable characters. This far into the series, these characters should be able to develop their own distinct voices. Fortunately, I think this issue sets the stage well for its further stories. If you're already interested in DC Vs. Vampires, you may find this to be one of their better tie-in stories. DC vs. Vampires: All-Out War require readers to squint at the loose lines and lack of definition robbing the quick thrills of their essential speed. The issue still possesses some flair and attempts to rush from this encounter onto the next, but frivolous humor and middling depictions of action make it difficult to appreciate what might work best. I'm definitely happy with this series, today's issue continues with the consistency and tone you can expect. The humor continues to work really well(jokes about Florida are always welcome) and the plot continues to progress nicely. That's the key word, continues, the people behind this comic are definitely having fun and putting that energy into their work. One thing I must point, and I'm happy for it, is that Deathstroke acts like a strategist here. This is pretty much the only comic currently where the character acts like himself. And of course, the rest of the cast is nothing short of fun to see, how Batwoman was used is a highlight for instance. As always the artwork is great too, with one splash page in particular with most of the main cast just killing vampires and looking cool while doing it. It looks good, the plot just keeps going at the right pace, no character feels off, solid recommendation. more

First of all, please DC, continue that Nightwing prequel story with the same creative team because wow! That backup was excellent, both Vieceli’s writing and Haining’s art. I loved that, despite how short it was (reading both parts) everyone was in-character, the betrayal hit hard and it was presented with a good level of intrigue. I want to see how Nightwing becomes the new King and starts his infiltration of the super-hero community while the other heroes are non the wiser, it’d be a great contrast to the first part of the story and we could see some characters that aren’t players in the main line (because they haven’t appeared or have been killed off). But the rest was good too! I really liked the “apocalyptic fairy tal e” vibes (dark forests, a haunted castle, castle, a captured princess and a group of evil knights…) this issue went for and I hope they continue with them. The story is picking up pace and I’m at least midly intrigued on who Baron Cinder is, he was also portrayed in a more interesting way tan the other vampires in this spin-off. If I have done complain is that there’s a scene between Deathstroke and another character where they are presented as friends that felt too out of character (as neither Deathstroke seems the friendly, protective sort nor is the situation presented in a way that would make two sowrn enemies behave like that) and admittedly took me out of the story. more
