This issue of Cyborg was a slow issue, as it just takes time to address the community that Cyborg is surrounded around and sets up a possible addition to the Cyborg family. I am really enjoying this first arc and am really wanting to see the endgame of the robot version of Cyborg’s dad. Read Full Review

Cyborg on the street should be a weekly occurance as he allows readers to see the difficulties of being black in America. Cyborg #5 does that quite well. A key reason I left Cyborg the first time was because of the numerous art changes and there's plenty of them again not only in this series, but in this issue! With five issues of Cyborg, we've had five different artists on the book. Paul Pelletier kicked off the series with the first two issues, then with each subsequent issue it has been a different artist with this fifth issue having two artists, Allan Jefferson and Derec Donovan. While Jefferson's art works for this book and the first half, Donovan's art in the second half really misses the tone with its cartoony and blocky style. It ends the book on a low note for me as the art does not match the dark and climactic ending. I'm not sure if Cyborg will stay on my reading list. I hope it does, but with all the changes in art and character I'm not very confident. Read Full Review

Cyborg this issue has some decent ideas going for it, but ultimately I found myself bored when I wasn't yelling at our characters for being idiots.  The art wasn't something that I really enjoyed and all in all, this issue just felt lacking all over even though it had a decent concept behind it. This book has a lot of untapped potential; instead it's bogged down in the traditional approach of a hero in the hood. It's just too bad. Read Full Review
