A fun story with humour, some nice character interaction, plus a Batman appearance. Giffen and DeMatteis weave all these elements into an amazing story. Read Full Review

And while it remains a super hero book, the stories always remain nicely grounded in the everyday life of a teenage hero. There is just enough pathos for characters to remain sympathetic. Its actually quite the achievement to balance the humour, realism and touching moments. Read Full Review

On the plus side, it looks like Giffen and DeMatteis's finale will also be a coda to their JL3001 comic, which was so good and so overlooked. And this was a generally fun issue. But why oh why is their Batman so out of character? How many stories with Batman has DeMatteis written by now?
