The mystery of the gang leader called The One Hundred deepens, as does his hold on Suicide Slum, as Black Lightning investigates his own father's past. But only one person can really help him find the answers: Talia al Ghul!

Major Spoilers - Stephen Schleicher
Feb 10, 2009Black Lightning: Year One continues to tell the first big adventure of a hero that is a major player in the DC Universe. Instead of rebooting a universe, the Year One line gives writers a chance to retell stories from the early days of the heroes, and offers a chance to retcon history where needed (Green Lantern: Secret Origin). I liked where issue three takes the characters, and even though we know the eventual outcome, it's the journey getting there that is the most fun. Black Lightning: Year One #3 earns another 4 out of 5 Stars. Read Full Review
