  The Golden Age characters and the modern flow together well, and we get enough about what's going on to be curious, but not enough to reveal all. Andreyko's writing is good, as it usually is, and the war veterans, the relationship between Phantom Lady and Manhunter, Black Canary finding about bits of her mother's history, all were well done.   I feel like as a lot of books wrap up before the DCU reboot, it's easy to just shrug off any weak last issues and say "eh, it'll be different soon." I'm hoping the Birds are taken care of better when Duane Swierczynski takes over the helm: I feel the Birds could benefit much more from him. Read Full Review
