It also looks like we havent seen the end of the Kali Corporation. We get a glimpse of the twins talking to a mysterious woman at the end of this issue. This issue had some very intense fight scenes. It was a little crazy to learn that Tahini hates Kate so much that shes willing to kill thousands of innocent people for it. Read Full Review

This is becoming an unintentional comedy in my honest opinion. There is not a whole lot to think about in this issue other than some brief history of Tahani. As well as some double crossing going on at the end. I will continue to read it because I can picture this getting good. Read Full Review

The ending to Batwoman's first Rebirth arc was a severe disappointment. It certainly tied things together, but the story being told isn't very interesting and can sometimes be very convoluted. Epting's art was great but it's doubtful he'll ever contribute to the series again. Read Full Review

Eptings artwork is perfect for the series. I like the way he reanders his figures, giving them a lightness, while making them look grounded, rather than simply digitally pasted against a backdrop. Im not familiar with other series he may haveworked on, but the veteran sensibilities and experience show in his work. Read Full Review

We get more the same old song and dance from Batwoman as an all too familiar fight plays out the same way it has for the past four issues and the other major plot points of this story are wrapped up off panel. What little progress we actually had in this book is thrown out the window and we are basically where we were at the beginning of this entire story. It begs to question why I should even be so invested in a series like this that clearly just slapping a predictable fight scene in every issue and surrounding it with loose and barely readable story that has no consequence. Solid issue with Epting doing good work. But unfortunately the book's story suffers from pacing issues, and could stand to be a bit more compressed. Bennett is someone who is hit and miss for me but her work on Batwoman is fine, there is a couple of neat and fun character beats and potentially interesting thematic beats, but on the whole it's a very slow book that may read better in trade.
