Comic Booked - Jeff Hill
Jul 19, 2014Writer Marc Andreyko and artist Jeremy Haun are joined by a second artist, Scott Kolins, for the next thrilling installment of their first major arc on this title. And if the Rafael Albuquerque cover didn't give you a hint about the current state of the Batwoman universe, it's about vampires. Neat! Read Full Review

Jul 19, 2014With this issue's cliffhanger, the action is reaching a fever pitch. In Batwoman's own words, "This just got real." Batwoman's tough enough to handle the bad guys easily, but can fight her nightmares as well? Read Full Review

Jul 18, 2014"Batwoman" #33 in many way sums up the new status quo for the comic. It's a comfortable fit, the sort of title that you can count on for providing solid entertainment month in and month out. It's nice to see a new creative team having settled in so well. Read Full Review

IGN - Jesse Schedeen
Jul 17, 2014Batwoman has more villains than she can properly handle in this story arc. As fun as it is to see her clash with an honest-to-goodness vampire queen, the addition of a third party and multiple costumed villains makes this portion of the story a little too crowded. Read Full Review

Jul 17, 2014This is my least favorite issue since Marc Andreyko and Jeremy Haun took over Batwoman. Andreyko seems to be forcing drama into the book where it's not needed and I'm just not a big fan of Nocturna. I do like Haun's art (along with Scott Kolins) and am sad to see him leaving. It pains me, but I can't recommend this issue. Read Full Review

Jul 17, 2014Andreyko fumbles with this issue a bit, and we don't seem to progress on the plot " which is something he's been good at. A large chunk of the book also seems to be Kolins art, which doesn't help this book in any ways. I'm hoping they re-find their footing with this brewing fight, or that they throw in a curveball to surprise readers. If they don't, I'm worried to see what will happen to this title. Jul 19, 2014Wowzers. I know Kolins can do much better, so clearly this is just a rush job he slapped together so that Batwoman would get out on time. This comic used to feature the absolute best art in the entire business. Is this DC's way of punishing Batwoman? I sure hope not. The character and comic can be good again, but Batwoman has definitely fallen from its once high perch. Read Full Review

Jul 17, 2014As much as it kills me to read these issues, I wont ever stop. But be prepared for a raging moment or two as you sift through the pages. Leading up to the giant FUTURES END issues, we are just going to have to wait and hold out hope for our beloved couple and where the Nocturna arc will take us next. But dont get your hopes up that this is going to be an action packed issue. Just take it for what it is in the story and let's pray the plot will become clear once more. Read Full Review
