The Batman-Zatanna-Constantine story is subpar and unfortunately has three parts remaining. The six-part stories in general are really dragging down the quality of the book. Ram V's tight, nightmarish three-part story proves the point and is a real gem in the book thus far. More Ram V, please! Read Full Review

Batman/Zatanna - 2.5/10, couldn't even get through this part, i'm defo dropping this title Wight Witch - 10/10, wow what a beautifully told story, the painted art works very well with Ram Vs script Kid Eternity - 5/10, decent concepts but poorly written Ace - 9.5/10, I'd be very happy with Russel writing the main batman title

This month's issue had a very inconsistent quality to it. The Zatanna story kind of trips on itself, as it falls into very familiar, uninteresting trappings. Constantine is a character I'm very particular about, and nothing here stood out as wrong, so there's that. The Wight Witch story is trying very hard to tell a rich story from elements of what may have been the dullest Batman event in a long while, Fear State. The results are mixed for me. I feel like it overextends itself, especially when read in context with other stories in the Batfamily of titles. It's hurt by its placement in continuity, that's for sure. The Kid Eternity story works better this time around as there are interesting elements here and there, but it ends before it can really get good. The entire thing feels out of place in this anthology. The Ace story is really this book's saving grace. It's incredibly well written for what it is. A Batman concerned for his dog is a Batman I want to read about. more
