In the end, the issue seems to just exist tocontinue to buildup the mystery of the Golden Superman while not providing any real answers. I understand that this story has three more parts, but Tomasi really needs to pick up the pace. Superman fanswill read it but casual fans will lose interest if they haven't already. If you're a fanof New 52 Superman, then I recommend you check out this send-off story. Read Full Review

While this wasn't the strongest issue of the crossover, the final pages make it an essential read. Join us next week as the adventure continues inAction Comics#52. Read Full Review

This story has such a frustratingly rigid structure that you can guess the entire outcome of the book by taking the story of the last four issues and then applying the characters on this issue's cover to that formula Read Full Review

I still like this arc, and I'm still very interested to see what's going to happen next. I would have liked a stronger tether to Clark's health problems, and a better reason for the Great Ten to be included than “we're in China”, but in spite of my complaints, this was still an entertaining read. Too many inkers drag Mahnke down on occasion, and Tomasi's lost (some of) the heart that made the first three installments so strong, but here's hoping he finishes well after the recent lull–I'm certainly rooting for him. Chinese superhero team The Big Ten steal the show and make for an exciting action-packed first half of the issue. Sadly the story barely progresses though and said fight scene is an eye-rolling misunderstanding “heroes fighting heroes” fight. Blah. Read Full Review

If one follows the "Final Days of Superman" cross-over, Part 5 may be incredibly important. To readers who follow the Batman/Superman title, it is difficult to follow. On its own, Batman/Superman #32 looks good, reads well, and contains incredible action. As part of the Batman/Superman continuity, it is incredibly difficult to read with any understanding Read Full Review

It really does pain me to see this promising crossover go down the tubes like it has.  This issue continues the slide downwards with barely a hint of a story, little to no characterization and hokey dialogue.  We do get another Superman into the mix, but even that was confusing and forced.  I really hope Tomasi can rebound next week with Action Comics because right now, this story is on life support.  Now excuse me while I stare some more at the cover and dream of what might have been. Though its always a treat to see DC's lesser known worldly superheroes to pop up, there isn't much else to enjoy about Batman/Superman #32, yet another go-nowhere installment in the supposed swan song for the "New 52" Superman. Read Full Review
