"Prodigal" part 10, continued from BATMAN #514. The Tally Man returns to Gotham determined to get revenge on Batman, who once defeated and disabled him. But the villain doesn't know that the man who wears the cape and cowl is not the man he hates. Continued in DETECTIVE COMICS #681.
