Nov 26, 2016Terry's part in the story, albeit a little minimal, was very slick. His appearance in the final few pages was genuinely quite brilliant once the audience is made aware of it. Overall,Batman Beyond #2 is actually a very good issue considering there isn't much of the eponymous hero himself in it. Whilst this is largely down to a brand new story featuring Bruce Wayne, we loved McGinnis' entrance in the finale. This series is showing a lot of potential, and could end up being one of the best in the Rebirth run. Keep your eye on this one. Read Full Review

Nov 24, 2016This series admirably captures the tone of the beloved animated series and seems poised to potentially take things to a much darker place than its predecessor ever could. Read Full Review

The Batman Universe - Jim Remolde
Nov 24, 2016This issue has two goals. The first goal is to give the story of the death of the Joker and and the second goal is to push the story forward. I believe both is effectively done. Read Full Review

Nov 23, 2016It's a fun story, with no drop in momentum from the Rebirth special. I look forward to seeing more of Terry's portrayal of Trey Malone. Read Full Review

Nov 23, 2016This is still a great comic book and a great read, but part of me thinks it could have been more. I think it is still a sign of great things to come for this series and I am very excited to read more. Read Full Review

Comics: The Gathering - Aaron Reese
Nov 26, 2016Even though I sometimes wish Jurgens would show a little more pizzazz in his writing, Batman Beyond #2 stays the course and keeps us entertained while folding in essential world-building elements. In the foreseeable future, Batman Beyond will continue to build its roster of characters, conflict and backstory. Because of that, we should count ourselves lucky that Jurgens is in the writer's chair. We probably won't even notice that he's doing it. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Eric Shea
Nov 23, 2016This is an alright issue of Batman Beyond that gives us some background that we've been wanting, but it's somewhat slow at times and while it does move the story forward, it doesn't do it all that much. The art too is a toss up to me because while I loved the present day stuff, the flashback moments just didn't seem as polished. Read Full Review

Batman-News - Joshua McDonald
Nov 24, 2016An improvement over last month's chapter, Batman Beyond manages to create some really nice moments that fans will love. In the same respect, there will be a number of moments that don't sit well with them either. But when you reach the last page, the fun entertaining aspect wins over and will leave you looking forward to what's next. Read Full Review

Nov 23, 2016Issue #2 sets up the next swing of the current story arc as well as deliver a fun Joker flashback to the good old days. That said, it does so in a decompressed way, leaving you wanting more. Read Full Review

Dark Knight News - S Theodore
Nov 25, 2016There's just enough adherence to the TV show, but some fresh turns to keep this comic from being subservient to that continuity. We'll see if this series can pick up steam with this plot, so far there just isn't enough to enjoy. Read Full Review

Nov 28, 2016The plot thickens, but there wasn't much here to begin with. Just get to the good part and bring the Joker back! It's time for future Batman to go toe to toe with the Bruce's worst enemy. Read Full Review
