The artwork is good, though a few panels seem to be a but less than polished, as if cornerswere cut in the inking process. That may be a bit disappointing, given DexterVines reputation as a solid professional, butif he cut corners, it was neverwhere it mattered. Several pages are stand-outs. Batman Beyond #12 is ok at best. Orlando and Ayala introduce a few interesting concepts in this issue, but they're not enough to make reading this chapter worthwhile. As much as I love Barbara and Max, and hope for the potential of Nissa to come to fruition, this issue is completely skippable. Do yourself a favor, read the original introduction of Nissa as Batgirl, and hold on to the hope that this time she'll be fully integrated into current continuity. As a character, Nissa has a lot to offer, and we deserve to get those stories and relationships in the future. Read Full Review

Bits and Pieces:Batgirl Beyond is just thrown into this issue without any backstory and it feels like it's a direct sequel to the digital first Batman Beyond title from years ago, with a few forced bits of dialog to try and make it work within this series, where the character has never been a part of continuity.  So yeah, nothing really feels right about this issue and the rest of continuity seems to be thrown out the window as well here.   Read Full Review

Overall, this issue felt very much like filler and ended up starting a few new characters off on an uneasy first step. Hopefully with Bruce and Terry returning, we can see some real development of the Bat-family of Neo-Gotham. Read Full Review

Not a bad issue at all, just seemed kind of random at the time. Art was pretty good and like I said the story wasn't bad it just was not anything memorable either.
