Barbara hasn't always been in the spotlight, but with the news of a solo movie in the works that is surely going to change. I feel that Barbara needs to start cropping up in more comics across the DC universe. Hopefully, Larson's run on Batgirl continues as she proves to be an incredible talent. It is obvious through her writing that Larson has a lot of love for the character and this translates into a fantastic story. The artwork continues to be sublime, which is refreshingly gorgeous. This is the kind of comic that makes you happy to hold it: a great cover from Dan Mora, a solid and fun story from Hope Larson, and art by Sami Basri that reminds you how bright and lively sequential art can be. There is some pretty funny stuff in this issue, which fits in well since it's kind of a "filler" arc. But it still shows off why Barbra is part of the "Bat" Family with her super smart thinking and detective like skills. Not to mention her ability to kick some major butt. Read Full Review

All in all, this is a fun Batgirl adventure. Not too slight, but it won't go down as one of her all time great storylines. Overall, the result of “Cold Snap” is better than the way we got there, but we'll take the character growth. Maybe where we go next will be darker and edgier given this new, more mature Batgirl. Batgirl be Batgirlin'. Even within that context, this is a pretty flat issue that offers a few gags and no real thrills. There are a few stupid contrivances and eye-rolling conveniences that are now the hallmarks of this series. So if you're coming for those, sidle up to the buffet. Read Full Review

The artwork was pretty great on this issue. I love how the storm and ice are portrayed, as well as Barbara's memories serving as her own personal GPS (little blue ghosts all over the city). It was a clever way of showing her memory in action. I also love how Ethan's features were slowly filled in as she listened to his voice. Read Full Review

I really enjoyed this conclusion to the Ethan Cobblepot and Penguin storylines. I hope they both make comebacks later as Batgirl villains. Nice art throughout.
