Bane: Conquest #5
| Writer | Chuck Dixon |
| Artist | Graham Nolan |

It's Bane vs. Catwoman-the rematch! Sure, they've got a common enemy, and they might be better off working together...but nothing gets under Bane's skin quite like Catwoman's claws.

Oct 08, 2017BANE: CONQUEST #5 is an action-packed read from start to finish. A guest appearance by Catwoman only adds to an already solid series with incredible sub-plots. Read Full Review

Oct 31, 2017The artwork is perfect. I'm a big fan of the classic DC house style, mastered and refined by artists such as Dick Giordano and Jos Luis Garcia Lopez. It certainly doesnt hurt that Graham Nolan is credited as one of the co-creators of Bane, along with Chuck Dixon. Needless to say, they know what theyre doing. While others may have helped develop Bane as a character in recent years, thereis no denying he is in excellent hands. Read Full Review

Sep 07, 2017A tightly told action story with an emphasis on movement and fast double crosses that captures the spirit of both Bane and Selina perfectly. For lovers of Bane and Catwoman, this issue was extra special. Good comics from the Dixon-Nolan team! Read Full Review

Sep 08, 2017Overall, this was a pretty good issue, which is obviously leading to something bigger. Dionysus will hopefully be dealt with next issue, allowing Bane to move on to taking over Gotham for his own. Read Full Review

Sep 07, 2017Bane: Conquest#5 continues to move along, albeit slowly. Luckily, Catwoman steps up in a big way this week, bringing excitement, surprises and wit with her. The book doesn't come highly recommended, but there's enough here to please fans overall. Read Full Review

Sep 06, 2017Bane: Conquest continues to disappoint in this issue because at the end of the day, nothing really went down here besides for Bane looking like a chump and no amount of him blowing through Russian bad guys is going to make up for that. Yeah, the art in this series continues to be stellar, but that's not enough to make up for being bored through an entire issue. Read Full Review

Sep 06, 2017Bane: Conquest continues to be thoroughly unimpressive, unimaginative, and uninspired. It's not that the story is bad, per se, it's just incredibly mundane. It also doesn't help that it doesn't hold a candle to Dixon's earlier work. I can't believe I have to slog through 7 more issues of this utter folly. Read Full Review
