  There's also an interesting opening sequence as Will Pfeifer takes a look at another form of life that has to be kept from rushing to the surface to their deaths, and this opening scene acts as a solid look at a little idea that most writers wouldn't have paid any attention to. There's also a solid little character moment where an ally of Aquaman's is killed during the battle, and this scene does a very effective job of conveying the character's empathic connection to the creatures that live in the ocean. There's also an interesting surprise when we see that Aquaman's new sidekick can emerge from her watery prison. Read Full Review
