Even though this has jack all to do with Last Stand of New Krypton, Action Comics remains an entertaining well-rounded comic book. Even the Captain Atom back-up has nice fantasy art. Read Full Review

For what it is, this book is a decent read. The mythology of Krypton and the way it plays out is very interesting, but the main physical plot and conflict fall rather flat. Still, especially with how this one ended I think the arc is really at a tipping point. The next issue will either make or break it. I'm hoping for the best. Read Full Review

It's both a positive and negative statement about a title when its back-up feature is better than its main feature. While the story about Nightwing, Flamebird, the JSA and Rao was honestly rather dull, the Captain Atom was really well done. I'd really prefer to read a Captain Atom solo title by Robinson and Cafu instead of this. Read Full Review
