Apr 24, 2013Issue #11 of The Massive once again focuses on the macro-scale of the world post-crash, and I loved every minute of it. This series only gets better with each issue and #11 is a great example of how good it can be when Wood is in sync with his art team and they are firing on all cylinders. Read Full Review

Apr 23, 2013The Massive continues to be heartbreaking and while it is dwindling rapidly hope still looms somewhere out there with Cal and his crew. If you enjoying rooting for the seemingly doomed, Wood gives you a book and a cast worth cheering. Read Full Review

Apr 24, 2013What I love about this series is that I learn something new with very issue. Sure it’s fiction, but Brian Wood takes his ideas and blends them with real geographic landscapes & bodies of water the likes of which I’ve never heard of. If it wasn’t for this issue, I never would’ve learned about the Farallones. It’s the Discovery channel in a comic book. Knowledge & entertainment all rolled into one. Thank you Brian, Declan, Bellaire and all the peeps at Dark Horse, keep up the great work. Read Full Review

Apr 20, 2013While there are some points where the issue feels a bit disjointed, the team of Wood, Shalvey and Bellaire deliver to makeThe Massive a hit yet again. With some dark plot points and beautiful artwork, this series continues to be one of the better on the market. Not the best issue of the series by any means, this one does exactly what it needs to do and does it well, providing another entry into the Post-Crash world of the series and keeping up with the engrossing narrative of the Ninth Wave crew that inhabits it. Apr 24, 2013The Massive is a moveable feast of agonies, a Gethsemane on the waves. Leave it to a writer with Wood's inimitable talents to make a reader even consider life worth saving. How Christ-like. Populations are being snuffed out. Cal is dying. And the sharks are circling. Read Full Review

Apr 29, 2013A very intriguing series even if each individual issue is a little odd. The world created by Brian Wood is much more interesting than the plot or the characters. Read Full Review
