Apr 03, 2014If this pace keeps up, Terminator Salvation: The Final Battle might just be a crowning jewel in a fantastic mythos. It is blending all the best elements of everything that has preceded it and it just quite simply entertains to a grade "A" level. Here's hoping that the remaining issues continue to deliver a powerful metallic punch as it crosses over the halfway mark. Read Full Review

Apr 02, 2014Terminator Salvation: The Final Battle #5 is a disappointing issue that only made me appreciate the original Terminator movie even more for its simple brilliance and execution. What started off as original story threads has descended into filler surrounding the events of that first movie. Even speculating about potential developments that could occur based on just the story making sense isn't particularly exciting and so as of now I'm only looking forward to the next issue just out of curiosity considering the number of issues remaining in this series. Apr 01, 2014Time travel is a tricky subject to do well even at the best of times with the very twisty and intricate logic that needs to be employed to navigate the internal logics of it so it's best to just take a simple approach but with Terminator Salvation: The Final Battle it combines the worst elements of an overly complicated mechanic and an inconsistent simplistic system. It's just in general poor decision making on what is the central narrative DNA of both the story and the universe and only serves to be more trouble than it's worth. So overall this issue of Terminator Salvation: The Final Battle really only served to undercut any positive points I might've afford the previous issue as the series slides back down to its standard poor quality, not recommended.
