  If you are a budding writer or artist, buy Fray to see how it's done. If you are a girl or boy, buy Fray to be inspired. If you are a Buffy fan, buy Fray because Melaka deserves to be known as the Slayer. If you like to read entertaining, intelligent work, buy Fray.   Moline's art is better for me in static splash pages than in action sequences, which tend to lose detail and coherence. Still, he achieved memorable designs for Gunther, Melaka and Urkonn, and also had a lot of fun imagining a world of future tech every bit as grubby as our own. Dave Stewart's colors are as ever definitive, setting the tone for Melaka's violent, fluid future (notice how her pink skin and the red blood on the axe on Moline's striking cover contrast with the greenish background). This is one series, despite the many delays, that was worth the extended wait. Read Full Review

  DC and Marvel could both take a few lessons in how to appeal to female readers from this title. So, go ahead. Buy this and try to track down the other seven issues. Whats that? The TPBs been announced? Um. Well, you might as well complete your set, if youve been reading all along. Read Full Review
