Trouble runs in the Whittier family! When Catherine Whittier learns she's inherited the family home, she knows better than to go back alone, and Hellboy's experience with the family (in Hellboy: The Whittier Legacy) makes him the perfect one to make sure any unkind spirits are rest.  Because in a house with a history like this, "plot" can mean more than just a family graveyard.

Hellboy creator Mike Mignola is joined by artist Gabriel Hernández Walta to bring readers a terrifying new one-shot in the home of the infamous Whittier family!

o Self-contained story in the successful Hellboy and the B.P.R.D. line.&nb more

The great thing about Mignolaverse oneshots is that as much as they are self contained stories, they feel bigger than the limited pages they fill. Each story seems to lead the reader to fill the peripheral (or draws on other stories to help with the task) elements, drawing on established lore the reader almost subconsciously fills in the minutiae as they go and as a result, when you get to the end you'd swear there were many more pages than there actually were. Hellboy and the BPRD: Old Man Whittier continues what is a reliably entertaining comic line. You can dive in and out of it and it feels like you never left. It's that comfortable fun comic you can return to and know you'll feel welcomed to just sit back and enjoy the ride. Read Full Review

Another creepy tale from Mike Mignola with art the fits the tale from Gabriel Hernndez Walta. Set one year after the events of Hellboy: The Whittier Legacy, the new one-shot builds on the existing storyline of the creepy family but doesn't require the reader to know much about Hellboy's previous experiences with the Whittier family from the previous story to enjoy Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: Old Man Whittier.
