This is one of the best horror series out there right now. It’ll make you actually think, instead of simply showing gory illustrations page after page; I can respect that. From the opening sequence involving a chilling encounter between a drifter and a songbird, this issue had me hooked. This is horror at its best"full of weird, crawly nightmares and monsters of indiscriminate intention. This issue of Harrow County, just like the rest of the series, will grab for your throat immediately and dare you to look away. I hope Bunn/Crook revisit this plot thread in the future. I would also love to see McNeil fill in again. She and Bunn crafted what could have easily been a mediocre filler issue into a gem of a story. Read Full Review

Harrow County #9 is a departure from the series formula and casts a light on the book's silent player. It's delightful and haunting, the right mix for this book. Carla Speed McNeil and Jenn Manley Lee are enjoyable as guest artist who help break up the pace in a delightful way. Hopefully there will be more issues to come which shed light (or more likely darkness) at the unexplored corners of Harrow County. Read Full Review

The atmosphere set by the artwork is creepy/soreful/weird all of these and more. You will feel unsettles reading this comic. "Tales of Harrow County: Friends" This is one weird tale that shows such an imaginary in creating it. You will not see this one coming. Read Full Review

When a mysterious drifter comes to town, the skinless boy's muscle and bones collects its" skin from Emmy and makes his acquaintance around the fire. If you're not familiar with the five-dollar word psychopomp, it'll make sense by the end of the issue. What follows is a heart-wrenching look and reminder that the skinless boy is still very much a boy. This calm, side-story was a nice breather issue to remind readers of the talent behind this horror series and why it's one of the best on-going series out right now. Read Full Review

I came this looking for a substitute for Afterlife with Archie. It's good. Very good. I am onboard for the next few issues.
