Comic Bastards - Dustin Cabeal
Sep 11, 2013I know a lot of people are quick to write this series off for anyone that's not already a Halo fan, but I took the approach of this being well-developed sci-fi. It's inviting enough for any fan of the genre, but of course caters to the Halo fan-base a lot more. It definitely has me excited for the next series and for the next game which is foolish considering it's not going to be out anytime soon. Don't let this video game tie-in scare you off because it's worth the read. Read Full Review

Sep 17, 2013As I mentioned in my last review, although the events in this mini may be interesting to hardcore fans of the Halo series, I would find it difficult to recommend this title to people who are not well versed in the Halo lore. Readers need to have at least played through Halo 4, Halo Reach, and Halo 4 to have a full grasp on the events unfolding thus far although I would also suggest reading the last Halo novel to fully understand. Sep 11, 2013Just like last issue, the art is horrible. The penciling is decent but when accompanied by the thick inking and weird-ass colors and tones it looks god-awful. Read Full Review
