    "B.P.R.D.: Hell on Earth: New World" includes in the inside front cover a set of brief character blurbs, a nice way to help out people who haven't read all previous 68 "B.P.R.D." issues. "B.P.R.D.: Hell on Earth" hasn't justified its new subtitle just yet, but hopefully we'll see that shortly. This wasn't a bad debut issue for the new direction, but it could have been a bit stronger, too. Read Full Review

    New World lacks a hook, and it reads a bit dull because of it. Isolated scenes work well, particularly those involving Abe Sapien. There just needs to be more consistency and a larger driving conflict. Paper pushing and office politics don't really cut it. Luckily, Guy Davis is still around to keep the characters looking good. His thin, laid back line-work is complemented surprisingly well by the rich colors of Dave Stewart. Hopefully the story can kick into gear with issue #2. After last week's issue of Hellboy: The Storm, my standards are pretty high concerning this franchise. Read Full Review
