  Barb Wire #3 is an action-packed issue that finally pits Barb against Stormblud in a no holds barred match, and does an excellent job in portraying his unbelievable strength relative to others. The action and artwork are more than up for the task in making this issue entertaining, however Stormblud's proclamations eventually wore a little thin at certain points this issue. But it's not bad that an issue is devoted mostly to action as long as the enjoyable story continues to progress in the next issues. Read Full Review

  Barb Wire is pretty much living up to expectations and I keep wishing it would be more than that. It's a book that I can certainly enjoy on a simplistic level but the potential to do so much more here makes it feel like a swing and a miss. But in a sense it didn't even step up to the right plate. The third installment drags out the Stormblud storyline just a bit more as Barb and the crew go to take him down but it ends up turning into a fair disaster as one might expect. There are some fun moments along the way, some decent action and also a lot of sadness that things are going as they are. Stormblud is by no means a sympathetic character but he's one you can definitely feel bad for as you realize there are some real issues here that goes beyond his excessive drinking and violence. But violence is what will solve it all of course. Read Full Review

  Comic Bastards - Pablo Arriaga

  Half of Barb Wire #3 could have been reduced to 1-3 pages and still given us the same amount of information, plus gotten to our protagonist kicking ass a lot faster. This book felt forcibly dragged out and replacing the lack of substance with badly timed jokes trying to make what would have been a cool one issue fight into a two-part story, will we stick around for the conclusion of Barb Wire vs Wyvern Stormbld?
