  While describing this book I may be using a lot of references to the DC universe but this really cannot be helped nor should it turn you off to the book. The creators themselves start off a text piece in the rear of the book by stating, "I'm never gonna get to kill the Justice League" and what this story is at its core is an independent publication of the ultimate Justice League mystery story and one that will appeal to fans of the DC heroes as well as readers of edgier independent fare.   For example, Agatha Christie readers will remember that her novel isn't exactly about a death trap, at least not in the mechanical, Rube Goldbergian, Silver Age comic book sense. In Christie, there's a murderer among the ten. I'm pretty sure the same is true in The Red Ten, and that the first issue has sent some pretty clear signals about who it is. I'd be more excited about the series as a whole if I were more sure that those signals were intentional. Read Full Review
