Summer's getaway plan spreads out before her like an endless horizon. It might seem foolish to burn all your bridges before you've left an island, but Summer can always make a raft out of the dead bodies left in her wake. From Sami Kivelä (artist on Zenescope's Hit List) and Ryan K. Lindsay (the writer of Dark Horse's Negative Space) comes this year's pulpiest crime tale.

    AIPT - Todd Young

Both issues of Chum have been great so far. There's an economy of space when you only have three issues to pull off a plot like the one laid out so far, but the story is tight and fast paced, with little wasted. You have a feeling the team behind Chum know where they're going, if this strong second showing is any indication. I'm looking forward to the conclusion already. Read Full Review

    Horror DNA - James Ferguson

Chum is a book tailor-made for any fan of film noir or pulp novels.  It's the epitome of cool.  At its center is a woman with nothing to lose and everything to gain.  If that means that she has to take out a few of the locals that have been bringing her down all these years, so be it.  There's one issue left and this one ended in such a powerhouse move that I cannot wait to see how the creative team wraps this up. Comic Crusaders - Johnny

This book is one of the books I look forward to reading every month. True, crime noir isn't anything new and true, this book doesn't add anything particularly to the crime noir genre. However, Lindsay and Kivela are aware of that and seem to have set their sights on creating characters that readers will come to care about. The fact this is being done in a three issue series shows the strength of their characters and of the pairing's immense story telling skills. Read Full Review

Big Comic Page - Mike Annerino

Is this a book that you should instantly rush out and get? No, not really. But for what it is, I think its entertaining enough. Its great toilet material, which may sound like an insult, but its not meant to be. When youre killing some time and need a quick read, this is something that fits the bill just fine. This is the equivalent of saying that you should catch a movie on Netflix or Red Box. Read Full Review
