    In its obsessive attention to period detail and its encyclopedic knowledge of its subject, The Terrible Axe-Man of New Orleans is a completely engaging book. This book presents a real-life mystery in a complex, artful and intriguing way. I love Geary's work, and this book definitely doesn't disappoint. Read Full Review
