  By the end of this issue though, it seems that in the heat of the action, Clive may have finally come up with a plan. I hope it works. We don't know what it is and it could only be temporary, but I hope we finally get some questions answered while getting these guys out of their world.   Wasting absolutely no time Wilds End #5 picks up immediately after issue #4s cliffhanger ending. Mr. Slipaway rushes back to the bar which is now engulfed in flames, in an attempt to save Mr. Blatchley and Alph. Mr. Blatchley, as we all know was incinerated last issue but little Alph manages to make it out. Although with horribly burned hands from trying, in vain, to save Mr. Blatchley.   After a midnight flight downriver to Squire Umbletons house, a gnarled old ram of a countryside gentleman, the gang attempts to a run to town by automobile with the gargantuan invader on their trail, a situation which lays a new conundrum at their feetto lead the thing to town would be disastrous, which leads them to a question for the next issue: how does one destroy a 4-story metal squid with two rifles and an old Model T auto?
