One issue down, and this story is amazing. Getting to see these characters I'm used to seeing in Power Rangers Prime getting a solo series is so refreshing. These next 5 issues are going to be fun and interesting to read. Read Full Review

Thanks to the creative team on Power Rangers Prime, the VR Troopers recently made a shocking return after decades of inactivity. These fan-favorite characters play in heavily to the alternate universe story in which Earth was colonized by the Eltarian Empire (Zordon's race from Power Rangers). VR Troopers #1 is a very good start to this spinoff that builds on the new continuity created by the Power Rangers Prime series. Every member of the cast is well positioned as protagonists while not breaking away from how they have been portrayed thus far. It created a different reading experience for how we view the series' leads that will help carry this story. If you're a fan of VR Troopers or BOOM! Studios Power Rangers make sure to pick up this comic book. Read Full Review

This issue surprised me, both in its contents and in their quality, and I'm happy to say that I was wrong about whether a VR Troopers spinoff could work in the new reality of Angel Grove. It's a strong story, with some bold choices in the art, and well worth a look. Read Full Review

This feels more like a quickie spin-off to bank on the brand name than an actual, well-thought-out sister series to Power Rangers Prime. Read Full Review
