Eye On Comics - Don MacPherson
May 03, 2009The strongest visual element associated with this comic book is to be found on the cover, or at least on one of the covers. Mouse Guard creator David Petersen contributes an all-too-rare piece of art outside of his own corner of the industry. The interior artwork by Axel Medellin Machain tells the story clearly, but that's all it does. It comes off as merely serviceable. I also found his figures (other than the title character) to be a bit elongated across the board, and it was a bit distracting. Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Doug Zawisza
Apr 28, 2009All in all, this book is a quick, fun read, but it needs a little more oomph in both story and art. Mr. Stuffins' interaction with Zach's stuffed rabbit gave me an audible chuckle, but I expected more chuckles when I picked this book up. The subject is there, just waiting to be fun. I hope Cosby, Stokes, and Machain realize that before this series is over. Read Full Review
