  The pieces are all moving across the board. Killian has his pan and so does Sander. Armies are ready to move and people are dying. A revolution has started and the city will suffer for it. No one wins but who will end up ruling is the question. Read Full Review

  Sander and Killian both continue to have good writing but they're crowded out by the simplistic newcomers, which is a pity because Sander is starting to play the game of secrets and manipulation of Grey Towers. Read Full Review

  Lantern City manages a remarkable amount of internal dialogue for Sander; when it's at it's heaviest is where I feel the art on the page lets the story down. These are things that should be easily communicated with a simple panel instead of having the main character journal his feelings to the reader. These might be the most frustrating parts of the story. That and introducing a giant beast for Sander to prove his mettle against, only to have him just walk away without even trying. Dammit! Some extra action would have been welcomed, hell even celebrated, in issue 9. Read Full Review

  There are some neat interactions between Sander and the Fortache characters but,for the most part, it all seems like filler.By the end of the issue, we're back to Lantern City and it's falling apart as Pont's men take over. So what was the point? When are the Fortache coming into play? How is any of this a part of Killian's plan? I get it. The guy is crazy. But does everything else have to seem as crazy as Killian?
