Firefly #21 took a lot of risks, and it shows. The tone has altered for the series, though thankfully several characters have stayed true to their roots. The vibrant colors and carefully designed contrast make for bold statements. Read Full Review

Another issue of Firefly which doesn’t quite live up to its full potential, the storyline feels a little too sci-fi for the world of Firefly. Strong moral messages, great banter between the crew, and excellent art make the weaknesses of the storyline more frustrating. Read Full Review

It is a little strange having RoboCops running around the Firefly universe, especially those with Mal's face. Still, it's exciting to see that Pak is taking the crew into some complicated and relevant territory. Read Full Review

Firefly #21 feels like it is trying to get itself somewhere but it is just taking a long way to get there. This series is excellent in some places and simply meh in others. This issue is somewhere in between those extremes. It is not the weakest issue in the series, nor is it the best. I am always keen to spend time in the ‘verse so that always gives it a leg up.
