    Deathmatch #3 isn't without flaws, but also not without its merits. The concept as a whole is captivating and with the last page being one hell of a doozy, it'll be interesting to see where Jenkins and company can go from here. Read Full Review

    Magno and Garland's artwork for Deathmatch has been explosive and carefully crafted, and issue #3 continues the pattern. The action panels display raw character emotion, particularly between Meridian and The Collective, adding intensity to a book about survival among the fittest. I do wonder if the way in which the abductors' identity is revealed might be a little to easily spoon-fed to us, but the details set the stage for what will surely be a riveting fourth installment of Deathmatch.     Paul Jenkins is writing and if you've read his stuff before you know the guy is pretty good with heroes. I wasn't familiar with Carlos Magno before this issue, but I think it worked really well for the book. Now I just want to see what's really going on! Read Full Review

    Even in an issue in which "Deathmatch" stumbles a bit as it juggles exposition heavy back story, it's still a solid comic, and one that is worth picking up -- against all odds.
