Burning Fields #7

Cards on the table time, folks… if 2015 ended today, Burning Fields would be my comic of the year.  It's that good.  If you're not reading it by now, then - okay - it's probably not the best time for you to jump on board, but you damn well better make sure to pick up the trade when it's released. This is a story that grabs you by the throat and shakes before dragging you down into a murky, violent and supernaturally charged mire of oil and blood.  Unmissable in every sense of the word. Burning Fields #7 does more than enough to leave us returning for the series finale, with the gripping series of events being intense to say the least. It also gives us a thrilling sense of mystery as we speculate what will happen to our main characters before this story's over. Read Full Review

BURNING FIELDS continues to be a great series. I absolutely love where the story has gone and where it's going. While this issue does not progress the overall story much, I felt as though we are really setting up an awesome final issue. I cannot wait to see where our lead characters end up and I feel as though we won't end the series with all of our main characters intact. The art in this issue is amazing. My criticism from a few issues ago has been wiped away and I really enjoyed the line work, colors and letters. This is not a jumping on point sadly but if you haven't kept up to date with the series pick it up when you can! For those of you who are up to date with the series then you will be happy with this comic book issue. All in all this is such a good book. Read Full Review

Burning Fields comes to an end next month. While I'm excited to see how the team wraps up their work on this comic, I'm definitely bummed to see it go. A comic that I picked up on a whim, Burning Fields has been the surprise standout of the year due to a creative team that's on top of all their respective games. If you've been bemoaning the lack of original comic properties, you shouldn't wait for the trade on this one. Pick up those back issues today, and get to it post haste. Read Full Review
